Giving to NCASE
The Northwestern Center for Advanced Surgical Education represents an opportunity for our donors to help change the face of surgical education and training.
Medical students, nurses, surgical residents and practicing surgeons from Northwestern and around the world can benefit from this unique educational and research laboratory, with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
Continuing medical education and upgrading of surgical skills is vital. The learning curve for mastering this technology is steep, and new equipment and techniques are continually emerging. Informed healthcare consumers will appreciate the fact that their surgeons have had intensive training prior to setting foot in the operating room, much like commercial pilots who are required to log 250 hours of flight time before being allowed to carry passengers.
