Created to advance the science of medicine and to enrich medical education, the Northwestern Center for Advanced Surgical Education (N-CASE) has become a model for other academic medical centers throughout the nation as they endeavor to develop similar training facilities. N-CASE regularly receives recognition as a premier multidisciplinary surgical training facility by faculty, guest surgeons and industry representatives alike.

Such recognition is well-deserved, for the center continues to develop its services and to support the specialized education of surgeons and other health care providers in a variety of disciplines. Research involving new procedures and technological development also takes place within the center. Equipped with the newest surgical technologies and training simulators and lead by established and world-renowned faculty, N-CASE promotes optimum technical skills education for "Safer Surgery Today, Better Surgery Tomorrow."
